Twitter CEO Elon Musk has dissolved the board of directors
Elon Musk is now the sole authority of the social media platform Twitter. Within a few days of taking responsibility, the board of directors of the company was dissolved. From now on, the Tesla chief will serve as the company's chief executive officer (CEO).
Before the sale, Twitter had nine directors on its board, Reuters reported. Now none of them are on that board.
Twitter has not commented on the sacking of top executives. However, Musk said in a tweet that this is a 'temporary' arrangement without specifying details.
It is believed that the layoffs have been discussed to relax Twitter's moderation policy.
It should be noted that Elon Musk fired several top executives of the company immediately after buying Twitter. These include Chief Executive Officer Parag Aggarwal, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal and Chief Legal Officer Vijaya Gadde.
